Terms of Service
Effective date: August 28, 2026
Last updated: August 28, 2026
These Terms cover the free generators on this site. Accounts are governed by the Invoice My Clients Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. Our Privacy Policy explains what this site collects.
1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "your") and Invoice My Clients LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") governing your use of free-invoice-generator.co and the free invoice, estimate, quote and receipt generators on it (the "Site").
By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. If you create an Invoice My Clients account, the Invoice My Clients Terms of Service govern that account and everything you do in it.
2. The service
The Site lets you build a document in your browser and download it as a PDF, without an account and without charge. It can also carry the document you built into a new Invoice My Clients account when you ask it to: invoices, estimates and quotes arrive as draft invoices (estimates and quotes keep their label and number), and receipts arrive as paid invoices with the payment recorded.
The Site is a document tool, not an accounting, tax or legal service. You are responsible for the accuracy of every document you create, for the tax you charge, and for whether a document meets the requirements of your jurisdiction.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
- If you use the Site on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorised to bind that business to these Terms.
- You must not be prohibited from using the Site under any applicable law.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the Site only for lawful business purposes. You agree not to:
- Create or send fraudulent, misleading or deceptive invoices, estimates, quotes, receipts or payment requests.
- Impersonate any person or business, or use a logo or name you have no right to use.
- Use the Site to facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion or any other financial crime.
- Interfere with the Site, probe or scan it without authorisation, or attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls.
- Scrape, crawl or harvest the Site, or use automated tools to generate documents or submissions at volume.
- Reverse engineer, copy or resell the Site or any part of it, except as permitted by law.
- Transmit malware or any harmful code.
The Invoice My Clients Acceptable Use Policy, including its zero-tolerance approach to payment fraud and phishing, applies to your use of the Site.
5. Your content
You own the documents you create. Because the builder runs in your browser, we do not receive them unless you click "Create account & save", in which case you grant us a limited licence to store and process the document for the sole purpose of importing it into your account, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The free PDF includes a small "Made with Invoice My Clients" mark in the footer. You may remove it by creating an account and generating the PDF there.
6. Intellectual property
The Site, its design, code, templates and trademarks are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Site in accordance with these Terms. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of our intellectual property to you.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what the Site collects and what it does not. By using the Site you acknowledge that policy.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. The Site is free, so we do not owe you notice or compensation if it changes or goes away.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY DOCUMENT CREATED WITH THE SITE IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR COMPLIANT WITH ANY LAW.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE. BECAUSE THE SITE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM IT SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 100).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Site
- Any document you create or send with it
- Your violation of these Terms or of any law
- Your violation of the rights of any third party
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site shall be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis; you waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations or other urgent matters.
13. General
- Entire agreement: these Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site.
- Amendments: we may modify these Terms by posting the updated version here. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
- Severability: if any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
- No waiver: our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them at any time.
- Force majeure: we are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
