Is this Singapore invoice generator really free?
Yes. You can build a tax invoice and download a professional PDF without paying or signing up, as many times as you like. The free download carries a small footer mark; a free account removes it and keeps the GST you charged on record for your GST F5 return.

How to make a Singapore tax invoice in under a minute
Fill in the form, watch the live preview, and download or save. Here is the full walkthrough.
- 01Add your business name, address and GST registration number (for most businesses this is your UEN, for example 201812345K; older registrations have an M-prefixed GST number), then the customer’s name, address and UEN.
- 02Add each supply as a line item with a description, quantity and unit price excluding GST. The subtotal and GST recalculate live.
- 03GST is pre-set to 9%. Untick taxable on zero-rated lines (exported goods, international services) and on exempt supplies such as residential property and most financial services.
- 04Set a unique invoice number, the invoice date and the due date, upload your logo, and confirm the currency is SGD.
- 05Keep "Tax invoice" at the start of the notes, add your payment terms and PayNow or bank details, then click Download free PDF.
The notes start with "Tax invoice. GST charged at 9%. Payment due within 30 days of the invoice date." Edit that line if your terms differ. The PDF is a document you give your customer; nothing is filed with or sent to any tax authority, and registering for the tax, charging the right rate and reporting it remain your responsibility.
What must a Singapore tax invoice include?
IRAS requires a tax invoice for every standard-rated supply to a GST-registered customer, and the customer needs a valid one to claim input tax. Include the following.
- The words "Tax invoice" in a prominent place
- A unique, sequential invoice number
- The date of issue
- Your name, address and GST registration number
- The customer’s name and address
- A description of the goods or services supplied, with the quantity and the amount payable excluding GST for each
- Any cash discount offered
- The total amount excluding GST, the GST rate and the GST amount
- The total amount payable including GST, in Singapore dollars
- The type of supply (sale, hire, lease) if it is not a straightforward sale
Taxes, VAT, GST, and multiple currencies
You can mark each line item taxable or not and set the rate, so a single invoice can mix taxed and untaxed items. This per-item control is something many simple tools cannot do, where one document is limited to one tax rate.
Documents render in 12 currencies with locale-correct formatting: USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, JPY, INR, PKR, MXN, NZD, ZAR, and SGD. That covers VAT in the EU and UK, GST in India, Australia and Canada, and US sales tax. Need detailed tax handling across your whole workflow? See the tax feature.

Frequently asked questions
What are the IRAS tax invoice requirements?
A tax invoice must show the words "Tax invoice" prominently, an identifying number, the date of issue, your name, address and GST registration number, the customer’s name and address, a description of the goods or services with quantity and amount excluding GST for each, any cash discount, the total excluding GST, the GST rate and amount, and the total including GST. Amounts must be in Singapore dollars (a foreign-currency invoice must show the GST and total converted to SGD). For a supply of 1,000 SGD or less including GST you may issue a simplified tax invoice that omits the customer’s details and shows the GST-inclusive total with a statement that it includes GST. Issue the tax invoice within 30 days of the supply.
What is the GST rate in Singapore?
GST has been 9% since 1 January 2024 (it was 8% during 2023 and 7% before that), and this tool starts at that rate. Exported goods and international services are zero-rated; the sale and lease of residential property, most financial services, investment precious metals and digital payment tokens are exempt. Untick taxable on those lines. There are no reduced rates.
Do I have to register for GST?
Registration is compulsory once your taxable turnover exceeds 1 million SGD at the end of any calendar year, or is expected to in the next 12 months, and you must apply within 30 days. Below that you may register voluntarily, with a two-year commitment. If you are not registered you must not charge GST or issue a tax invoice: leave the GST registration number blank, untick taxable on every line and delete "Tax invoice" from the notes.
What is a UEN, and is it the same as my GST number?
The Unique Entity Number is the standard identifier for every business and organisation registered in Singapore. Since 2009 a business registered for GST uses its UEN as its GST registration number, so for most businesses the two are the same. Sole proprietors and businesses registered before that may have a separate GST number beginning with M. Ask your customer for their UEN so it appears on the invoice; it is how their accounts team files it.
Is my client data safe?
Yes. Everything you type stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored on our servers unless you create an account and save the document yourself. See our privacy policy for details.
What currencies are supported?
USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, JPY, INR, PKR, MXN, NZD, ZAR, and SGD, each formatted correctly for its locale.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Everything runs in your browser. There is nothing to download or install.
What happens when I create an account?
Your invoice is carried straight into your new Invoice My Clients account. Your invoice arrives ready, PDF generated, so you can send it and get paid online. From there you can edit it, send it, track payment, and get paid online.
Does it remember my business details?
Yes. Your own business details, logo, currency, and payment information are saved on your device (in your browser, never on our servers) so you do not re-enter them next time, and your invoice number auto-increments from the last one you used. Client details, line items, and amounts are never saved. You can clear everything any time with the "Clear saved details" link above the form.
Is there a Spanish version?
Yes. The same invoice generator is available in Spanish, with the document, the labels and the PDF in Spanish, at the "Español" link in the header.
